  1. Maria, on another subject, I thought I’d mention a new Australian novel by Justin Smith “Cooper Not Out” because we both grew up with summer cricket in the background. It is a delightful story set in 1980s about a country policeman who ends up playing for Australia in a Test Match. I’m not sure if it’s available overseas yet, no obligation of course, but I did enjoy reading it.

    1. Good call, Gretchen! Thanks for telling me about it. I was reading Dave Astor’s blog post the other day about Australian authors and he was asking ‘who else?’ I thought of you. You’d have a good long list!

I really liked the wise and weird tidbits!
And this one was extra nice for today especially:

    1. That’s a good one. These come from Gretchen’s blog ‘Thoughts become Words’ – she’s in Brisbane, Australia. I so enjoy these round the world connections, Yvette!
