Here’s mine
Broad beans plants on the allotment – sown in the autumn, ground treated with nematodes against slugs, plants covered up with mesh against black fly, protected from frost with extra fleece, fleece removed, caught by late frost, mesh removed in the hope of better pollination, weeded and watered: results so far. Attempting to grow veg gives me an ever greater respect for people who do this for a living!

I enjoyed the succinct paragraph about the happenings for this plant. hahah – don’t mean to laugh but doesn’t it figure that removing the fleece to then get frost !
I made a huge mistake last week.
Put a dozen pepper starters outside too long and they got scorched and almost all shriveled up – they were about three + inches and I just didn’t realize four hours would scorch –
I also put four tomato plants there (we bought those and they are about 12 inches – ) well they have a few scorched leaves and still seem alive – but are not growing – hmmmm
well lesson learned – and another “garden analogy” for life – haha – you know – sometimes life can scorch and then we must find what we need to rebound (and some don’t recover – sadly) anyhow, it looks like your bean pant has a lot of life

Gardening seems to be all about accepting losses and learning what the weather is really doing! Which is why we can get excited about harvesting a nice big radish that hasn’t been pre-chewed! Good luck with trying again, Yvette.

Hi! You are so right – it is about accepting lessons learned and all that
And I might just buy stater plants now rathe than from seeds – hmmm
But I am only doing a handful of containers and my hubs has a small little bed he works with the last few years.
I don’t want to put too much time into the garden and have containers for easy veggies and then found which flowers are low maintenance etc
